5. Amendments to the Terms

CFC may modify the Terms for legal, regulatory, security, technical, or operational reasons. Modifications take effect for Transactions initiated after their effective date. Users receive notifications via the Application and email, with the responsibility to consult current versions before initiating transactions.

6. Eligibility and Account Creation

The Application requires users to be at least 18 years old in Ontario. To create a user account, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information, accept these Terms, and complete identity verification procedures required under anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulations. Account closure can be requested at any time when no transaction is pending.

7. Security and Authentication

Access requires personal credentials, a password, and strong authentication when required. This information remains strictly personal and confidential. You must take all reasonable measures to preserve its confidentiality and prevent any unauthorized use. In case of loss, theft, misappropriation, or suspicion of unauthorized access, you must notify us without delay and contact your card issuer.

8. Description of the Service

The Service allows you, through the Application, to initiate money transfers to a Beneficiary. Users must link a Card and authorize debits for transfer amounts plus applicable fees. Card issuers may impose additional authentication or verification steps during execution. No payment account is opened in your name with CFC.

9. Execution of Transactions and Cancellation

Before confirmation, the Application displays debit amounts, fees, exchange rates, and estimated amounts for the beneficiary. The Payment Order becomes irrevocable once confirmed in the Application and received by us for execution. Canadian consumer protection laws allow cancellation until irrevocability. Execution times vary by destination, currency, payment mode, and regulatory controls. Third parties may apply independent fees, potentially reducing beneficiary amounts.

10. Fees and Exchange Rates

Service fees are debited from the User's Card. The fee amount and, where applicable, the applied exchange rate will be communicated before Payment Order confirmation. Exchange rates may include margins. Updated fee schedules appear in the Application. Third-party fees and statutory deductions apply independently.

11. Refusals, Limits, and Suspensions

CFC may refuse transactions, limit amounts, request documents, or temporarily suspend services for regulatory compliance. This includes sanctions laws, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing measures, suspected fraud, or violations. CFC may restrict transactions to/from certain high-risk countries, persons, sectors, or activities. Refusals are communicated before the end of the next Business Day when legally permitted.
